“ArtinShop” Comes to Nişantaşı This Year!

Nişantaşı, one of Istanbul’s oldest and most charming neighborhoods, is set to host an exciting fusion of street art and commerce at the ArtinShop event. From May 22nd to 25th, art will be displayed in the most authentic shops of Nişantaşı, with visitors encountering art in unexpected places, blending the essence of the district with the creative energy of contemporary Turkish artists.

Nişantaşı’s Art and Culture Transformation

Nişantaşı will be alive with art from May 22nd to 25th, turning its renowned shops into alternative art spaces. From slipper stores to copy shops, flower shops to designer boutiques, local businesses will showcase art in various mediums. These daily spots, frequented for shopping, will host the works of contemporary Turkish artists and designers, offering an unexpected intersection of art and daily life. Visitors will experience the surprise of encountering art as they move through the neighborhood’s unique spaces.

Designed by Cubis Art and organized by Dreamscircle, the second edition of ArtinShop invites visitors to become spontaneous art observers as they explore the shops. Following its successful debut last year in the Tophane district, the event moves to Nişantaşı, an iconic and historic Istanbul neighborhood, this time offering a new cultural and artistic experience that resonates with the district’s true spirit.

Featured Artists and Shops

Art will be displayed across a walking route that stretches from Valikonağı to Teşvikiye, including notable venues such as Plümon, Gönül Paksoy, Kürşat Zeytinyağı, Marcel Butik, Bobbin Living, and many others. Works by Dilek Aksu, Bala Kavlakoğlu, Emre Tura, Kirkor Dabanyan, Lalehan Ünsal, Cüneyt Aksoy, Zeynep Beler, and others will transform everyday spaces into dynamic artistic settings.

An Interactive Art Experience

The event encourages a dialogue between the space, the artwork, and the audience. As visitors discover these unexpected art displays, the interaction between the “venue-art-viewer” turns into an immersive experience, enhancing the connection between art and daily life.

Zeynep Esen from Cubis Art shared her thoughts on the event: “We aim to bring dynamism and a fresh perspective to the creative economy, creating value through our projects. As a Turkish art brand, we are dedicated to preserving the memory of Istanbul and capturing the essence of the city in each of our projects. ArtinShop is about bringing art to the street, into the shops of local tradesmen. Visitors who enter these stores for daily errands will become art spectators, and these shops will turn into galleries. We’re excited to see how this synergy will unfold in Nişantaşı, a district that beautifully combines history with contemporary art and design.”
